Mid-Senior DevOps / Cloud Platform Engineer

About the role:

We are looking for a Mid-Senior DevOps/Cloud Platform Engineer to join a long-term project for an established client in Germany. You'll own the infrastructure and delivery pipeline end-to-end - from containerized deployments to observability - working closely with backend and platform teams to keep production reliable and releases fast.

Responsibilities:

- Design, operate, and scale Kubernetes clusters in production

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI or GitHub Actions)

- Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform across AWS/Azure/GCP

- Set up and maintain monitoring/alerting (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog)

- Improve deployment reliability, incident response, and on-call processes

- Collaborate directly with the client's engineering team on architecture decisions

Must have:

- 4+ years of hands-on DevOps/Platform Engineering experience

- Strong Kubernetes experience in production environments

- Solid Terraform and IaC practices

- Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

- Practical experience with GitLab CI or GitHub Actions

- Familiarity with Grafana/Prometheus/Datadog or similar monitoring stacks

- English level C1, comfortable in daily communication with a German client

Nice to have:

- Experience with multi-cloud setups

- Security/compliance background (SOC2, ISO 27001)

- Scripting skills (Python, Bash, Go)
