Rust Crypto Developer
We are looking for a Rust Developer to join an experienced engineering team working on institutional-grade crypto and blockchain infrastructure.
This is a highly technical, hands-on role focused on pure Rust systems development, cryptographic infrastructure, secure key management, and HSM integrations. You will work on security-sensitive systems where reliability, correctness, and deep engineering expertise are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop production-grade systems software in Rust.
- Build and maintain secure cryptographic services and infrastructure components.
- Develop hands-on integrations with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and vendor-specific APIs.
- Work with PKCS#11 and HSM-based cryptographic workflows.
- Integrate and support HSM platforms from vendors such as Thales, IBM, Utimaco, and Securosys.
- Design and implement secure key management and cryptographic workflows.
- Contribute to systems supporting institutional crypto and tokenized asset platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex low-level issues across application, cryptographic, and infrastructure layers.
- Participate in architecture design, technical decisions, and code reviews.
- Ensure high standards of security, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
Collaborate with senior engineers and architects in a distributed international team.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, with strong Senior / Staff-level ownership.
- Strong hands-on Rust development experience.
- Proven experience building systems-level software in pure Rust.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, concurrency, memory safety, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience integrating with HSM hardware and vendor-specific solutions.
- Experience with one or more of:
- Thales
- IBM
- Utimaco
- Securosys
- PKCS#11
- Strong understanding of cryptographic systems and secure key management.
- Experience designing and implementing security-sensitive production systems.
- Relevant experience with institutional TradFi, digital assets, or tokenized asset platforms.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and system-design skills.
Ability to work independently on complex technical problems and take ownership from design through production.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with crypto custody, wallet infrastructure, or digital asset platforms.
- Knowledge of blockchain infrastructure and transaction processing.
- Experience with cryptographic libraries and protocols.
- Experience with secure enclaves, HSM clusters, or high-availability cryptographic services.
Experience working in highly regulated financial environments.
