GoLang Engineer

What this is about
 

We are a fast-growing software house looking for a mid-level GoLang Software Engineer to join a fully remote team.

Your main focus will be the backend: designing and building reliable services, APIs, and data flows, improving the architecture and performance of our platform, and turning product requirements into robust systems that users rely on every day.

At the same time, you will not work in isolation from the rest of the stack. You will collaborate closely with the frontend and infrastructure side, and when needed you may also touch deployment, databases, and other parts of the platform. We value engineers who understand how the product works end to end, even if their strongest area is backend.

If you enjoy building clean, maintainable systems, solving complex technical problems, and care about reliability, performance, and good software architecture, this position is for you.

What we are not looking for is someone who pastes output they would not be able to understand or explain.

The tool speeds up the work, but your brain must remain the one making the decisions.
 

What you will do
 

• Develop and release new backend features from start to finish
• Design, build, and maintain reliable services and APIs in Go
• Work with databases, queues, caches, and other backend infrastructure
• Improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of existing services
• Collaborate closely with frontend and infrastructure engineers
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable, and production-ready code
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across distributed systems
• Work with different stakeholders in an async-first environment
   

Who we are looking for

• At least 2 years of experience as a software engineer, preferably with a strong backend focus
• Experience with Go (Golang) is required
• Good understanding of backend development, REST APIs, databases, concurrency, distributed systems, and service-oriented architecture
• Familiarity with SQL and working with relational databases
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested production code
• Comfortable debugging issues and reasoning about performance and reliability
• Independent thinking: AI is a tool, not a shortcut to avoid thinking
