🌎Akvelon is an American company with offices in Seattle, Mexico, Ukraine, Poland, and Serbia. Our company is an official vendor of Microsoft and Google. Our clients also include Amazon, Evernote, Intel, HP, Reddit, Pinterest, AT&T, T-Mobile, Starbucks, and LinkedIn. To work with Akvelon means to be connected with the best and brightest engineering teams from around the globe and working with an actual technology stack building Enterprise, CRM, LOB, Cloud, AI and Machine Learning, Cross-Platform, Mobile, and other types of applications customized to client’s needs and processes.

Akvelon is looking for an experienced Go / Cloud Software Engineer to join a long-term project for a global technology leader.

You will work on a Blade Compute Provisioning stream focused on cloud-native compute infrastructure and provisioning. The role combines software development in Go with hands-on work across Azure, Kubernetes/AKS, Linux, containers, and production infrastructure.

This is a good fit for an engineer who enjoys working beyond application code and is comfortable troubleshooting systems across both software and infrastructure layers.

The role also includes some DevOps responsibilities, so it’s important to be comfortable working with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Go
  • Work with cloud-native infrastructure running on Microsoft Azure
  • Build and support solutions using Kubernetes / AKS, Docker/containers, and Helm
  • Work with Azure services such as Service Bus and Key Vault
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across application and infrastructure layers
  • Work with Linux/Unix-based environments and compute infrastructure
  • Participate in infrastructure automation and CI/CD processes
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on reliability, security, scalability, and production readiness
  • Contribute to secure engineering practices for infrastructure and cloud services

Required skills:

  • Strong Go development skills or for candidates with C# experience willingness to work with Golang
  • Proven experience with Azure and Kubernetes-based cloud-native stack (Docker/containers, K8s, Helm, AKS, Service Bus, Key Vault)
  • Solid foundation in Linux/Unix environments, Computer Architecture, and enterprise hardware concepts (e.g., Dell enterprise edge servers)
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and mitigate live production service issues
  • Strong foundation in secure coding practices, application security, and a threat-aware engineering mindset

Nice to have skills:

  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure management, Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Bicep), scripting, and automated CI/CD deployment pipeline – while it’s a nice to have skill, it’s important for candidates to be ready to do DevOps work, there is no dedicated team for it.
  • Experience with host attestation, compute firewall management, or platform security (e.g., enterprise hardware security such as Dell PowerEdge attestation)
  • Hands-on experience building or configuring anomaly detection, alerting systems, and automated incident triage
  • Advanced knowledge of Azure Security posture, identity management, and compliance tools
  • Experience applying AI/ML solutions to enhance security monitoring and threat detection

DRI / On-call rotation

The rotation is expected to take place one week every four weeks. During a DRI week, engineers provide coverage within a 12-hour window: 8 hours are regular working hours, while the remaining 4 hours are on-call.

On-call time and active incident resolution outside regular working hours are compensated separately.
