Front-End Engineer (React, TypeScript)
You'll own the interface that turns raw medical data into something a clinic manager can actually act on. Today most of that data lives in exports, internal reports and half-built screens - the product works, but the front-end has grown faster than it was designed. Your job is to build and clean up the part users touch: dashboards, patient and claims tables, filters, charts, reports.
This is a hands-on product role, not a lead role. You own your tasks end to end, architecture decisions are made together with the CTO.
About the company
A European product company building a data and analytics platform for the healthcare sector - clinics, medical networks and insurers use it to see what is happening with their patients, costs and operations in one place.
- On the market since 2022
- Team of 11-50 people
- Fully remote engineering team [to be confirmed]
- Product company, no outsourcing or client rotation
What you'll do
- Build and maintain front-end features of the platform in React + TypeScript
- Develop data-heavy UI: dashboards, charts, large tables, filters, export and reporting screens
- Integrate the front-end with backend APIs, handle async data, caching and error states
- Turn Figma designs into clean, reusable components
- Use AI coding tools (Claude Code and similar) as part of your daily workflow
- Cover your code with tests and take part in code review
- Work directly with the CTO and the designer to clarify requirements before you build
- Take a task from description to production and keep it stable afterwards
Who we're looking for
Must have:
- 3-5 years of commercial experience with React
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript
- Practical experience with state and server data management (React Query / Redux Toolkit / Zustand - any of them)
- Experience integrating REST APIs and building complex forms and data tables
- Experience with charts and data visualization libraries (Recharts, Chart.js, D3-based, or similar)
- Daily use of AI coding assistants in real work, with hands-on experience of Claude Code
- English at B2+ - you will talk to the CTO and the team directly, without a translator
- Ability to run your own tasks without daily check-ins, and to ask questions early when something is unclear
Nice to have:
- Experience connecting AI tools to external systems
- Figma-to-code integrations or similar
- Background in healthcare, medtech or fintech - any domain with strict data rules (GDPR, HIPAA, FHIR/HL7)
- Next.js, testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright)
- Experience working with design systems
Soft skills:
- Ownership - the team is small, and nobody will chase you for status updates
- Clear written communication - most of the work happens async, across time zones
- Attention to data correctness - a wrong number on a medical dashboard is not a cosmetic bug
Conditions
- Remote, flexible working hours
- 29 days of PTO (18 working days per year plus all national holidays)
10 paid sick days - Free English classes with native speakers or Ukrainian teachers
- People-first management, minimal bureaucracy
