Senior Golang/PHP Developer

Their SaaS platform helps businesses manage operations and enables customers to book services. The company focuses on making software accessible to businesses of all sizes. Established in 2017, the client supports thousands of businesses and hundreds of thousands of customers globally.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial experience working with Golang;
• 2+ years of practical experience with PHP, including maintaining and supporting an existing codebase;
• Strong knowledge of API development principles and hands-on experience with REST, GraphQL, and gRPC;
• Strong understanding of cloud services, Kubernetes, and Docker;
• Proficiency in caching solutions, particularly Redis;
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and secure programming practices;
• Good understanding of load-balancing concepts and experience with tools such as HAProxy.
• Knowledge of booking, eCommerce, and payment systems is a bonus.

Responsibilities:

• Migrate existing backend logic and functionality from PHP to Go, with Go being the primary technology for ongoing development;
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services in Go;
• Build new functionality and continuously improve existing backend components;
• Work closely with the client, actively coordinating technical decisions, requirements, and implementation details;
• Optimize and maintain cloud services to ensure stable and efficient application performance;
• Explore and introduce tools and technologies that can improve development workflows and engineering efficiency;
• Maintain high standards of code quality, security, and backend engineering practices;
• Contribute to backend architecture and DevOps-related initiatives, with opportunities to expand expertise across both areas.
