Scala Developer

We are looking for a Sr Scala Developer for a major client in the Fintech sector. The project involves the development and optimization of backend components within a dynamic and technologically advanced environment.

Work mode: Full Remote

Working language: English

Engagement duration: From September until the end of April 2027

Required skills:

Solid experience in backend development

Excellent knowledge of Scala (Must Have)

Excellent knowledge of Kafka

Excellent command of English (written and spoken)

Nice to have:

Experience with Typelevel stack (Cats-Effect, Doobie)

Experience with Akka/Pekko toolkit (Http and Streams)

Experience working with microservices architectures, event streaming systems and cloud providers is also preferred. Kubernetes and AWS knowledge is a plus.

Experience and appreciation for Extreme Programming values and principles.

Experience working in financial services systems.

Comfortable working in remote-friendly teams distributed between multiple locations.

A good understanding of Agile methodologies, their principles and their ceremonies.
