D365 Finance and Operations Developer

D365 F&O Developer (Part-time)(ready to work US hours (GMT-5))

On behalf of our Client, Mobilunity is looking for a D365 F&O Developer.

Our Client operates a growing eCommerce business built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. As the number of ongoing projects continues to increase, they are looking for an experienced D365 F&O Developer to strengthen their internal engineering team and independently drive key development initiatives. This is a long-term part-time opportunity (20 hours/week) with the possibility of transitioning to full-time in the future, depending on business needs.

Responsibilities:

D365 F&O Development

• Design, develop, and maintain solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (X++).
• Deliver new features and enhancements across the D365 platform.
• Work independently on assigned development tasks with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across ERP integrations and business workflows.
• Deliver clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best engineering practices.

Integration Development

• Support and extend EDI/XML integrations between D365 and third-party partners.
• Develop and enhance XML-based import/export processes.
• Participate in migrating existing middleware functionality into native D365 endpoints.
• Collaborate on system integrations between D365 and external business applications.
• Ensure reliable and efficient data synchronization across platforms.

Architecture & System Design

• Contribute to the modernization of existing system architecture.
• Help replace legacy middleware with native D365 integration endpoints.
• Participate in technical design discussions and propose scalable implementation approaches.
• Balance performance, maintainability, and business requirements when delivering solutions.

Code Quality & Collaboration

• Follow development standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Work closely with the client’s internal D365 developers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate effectively with distributed teams during US business hours.

Requirements:

• Senior-level commercial experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (X++).
• Solid commercial experience with C#.
• Experience working with EDI/XML integrations, or the ability to quickly ramp up in this area.
• Strong understanding of ERP integrations and business processes.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of development tasks.
• Availability to collaborate during US business hours (GMT-5).
• Good spoken and written English.

Nice to have:

• Experience building or consuming D365 endpoints and APIs.
• Experience migrating legacy integrations or middleware solutions.
• Familiarity with SQL Server and relational databases.
• Experience working with Docker-based applications.
• Understanding of eCommerce or retail business processes.
• Experience integrating Microsoft Dynamics 365 with third-party platforms.

Engagement details:

• Part-time engagement (approximately 20 hours per week).
• Long-term contract with an expected duration of around one year.
• Possibility of transitioning to full-time in the future (not guaranteed).
• Start date: As soon as possible.
