Flamingo is building OpenFrame, an open-source platform with AI agents for MSPs that closes tickets and replaces the expensive vendor stack (RMM/PSA tools). We're going after the big incumbents in the MSP space (Kaseya, NinjaOne, Datto) and out to disrupt the whole category. We're early, we move fast, and we want someone as fired up about building this as we are.
Role Overview
We're looking for a Founding Sales Engineer who combines real commercial drive with a genuine understanding of the MSP world. Our buyers are technical - founders, CIOs, and senior sysadmins of MSP companies. They'll instantly spot a salesperson reading from a script. You'll lead technical conversations as an equal, run demos, and guide prospects from first call to proof-of-concept.
Important: experience in the MSP industry or related fields is a must for this role. If you haven't worked in or sold into the MSP world or adjacent IT channel areas, this position won't be the right fit.
What You'll Do
- Own the full sales cycle with MSP prospects - from first technical conversation to closed deal
- Run technical demos and proof-of-concepts, handling technical objections with confidence
- Speak the language of RMM, PSA, and IT infrastructure with people who live in it daily
- Work closely with the founding team to shape our sales process from the ground up
- Bring feedback from prospects back to the product team to sharpen our positioning
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Proven experience in the MSP / IT channel industry or related fields - selling into the MSP world, working inside an MSP company, or experience in adjacent IT infrastructure areas. This is our key filter
- Solid understanding of RMM / PSA / IT infrastructure - you know tools like Atera, ConnectWise, Datto, NinjaOne, Kaseya
- Ability to run technical demos, handle technical objections, and lead proof-of-concept processes
- Comfortable with open-source and AI topics
- Advanced English (C1) - confident communication with native speakers is essential
Nice-to-Have:
- Early-stage startup experience - comfortable working without ready-made processes
- Technical background (sysadmin / DevOps / support) with a transition into sales
