Senior Java AI-Enabled Developer

Responsibilities:

• Work in SCRUM team 
• Design and develop high-load microservices
• Produce high-quality code covered with different levels of tests
• Maintain services on production and assure their stability and performance
• Provide code review for teammates 
• Contribute to the Company’s development processes and practices 

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience, including at least 2 years in a product company or product-focused environment
• Proficiency in Java 17+ and modern backend development practices
• Solid experience with the Spring Framework and Spring Boot
• Practical experience designing and developing microservices
• Experience with MySQL, Redis, and other SQL or NoSQL databases
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures
• Experience building REST APIs and working with Protobuf
• Hands-on experience with SQL and database schema design
• Experience with CI/CD practices and tools such as GitLab CI
• Ability to write unit and integration tests using tools such as Mockito, WireMock, and Testcontainers
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles, clean code, and common software design patterns
• Experience with Git and modern software development workflows
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• English proficiency at Intermediate level or higher

AI-enabled software development

• Hands-on experience using AI coding agents in day-to-day software development.
• Ability to break down engineering goals into clear, well-scoped tasks for AI agents.
• Ability to provide effective context, constraints, acceptance criteria, and validation steps.
• Strong awareness of the risks and limitations of AI-generated software.
• Ability to distinguish where AI can accelerate delivery and where human judgment is essential.
• Interest in exploring and improving agentic development workflows.
• Willingness to share effective workflows and lessons learned across engineering team.

Would be great to have:

• Experience with Aerospike
• Experience with Spring Cloud
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience developing and operating high-load distributed systems
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its core services, including BigQuery
