ABAP Developer

We are seeking a skilled ABAP Developer to design, develop, test, and support SAP ABAP solutions that align with business requirements and SAP best practices. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP ABAP programming, SAP modules integration, debugging, performance optimization, and collaboration with functional consultants and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, forms, conversions, enhancements, and workflows.
• Design and implement custom SAP solutions using ABAP, ABAP Objects, and SAP enhancement frameworks.
• Work closely with SAP functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and support SAP reports using Classical Reports, ALV Reports, Interactive Reports, and SAP Query tools.
• Create and maintain SAP forms using Smart Forms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms.
• Build and maintain interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, ALE, Web Services, and OData services.
• Perform debugging, root cause analysis, and issue resolution for SAP ABAP programs and integrations.
• Optimize ABAP code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Support SAP upgrades, enhancements, migrations, and implementation projects.
• Prepare technical design documents, unit test cases, and support documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SAP Basis, functional consultants, testers, and business users.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–7+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong hands-on experience with ABAP programming, including reports, module pool programming, enhancements, and forms.
• Experience with ABAP Objects (OOABAP) and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Proficiency in Data Dictionary, internal tables, database access, and performance tuning techniques.
• Hands-on experience with ALV Reports, Smart Forms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms.
• Knowledge of IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, ALE, and SAP integration technologies.
• Experience with SAP enhancement techniques such as User Exits, Customer Exits, BADIs, and Enhancement Points.
• Understanding of SAP modules such as FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, HR, or WM.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with SAP transport management, testing, and deployment processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and HANA-optimized ABAP development.
• Knowledge of CDS Views, AMDP, SAP Fiori, OData, and SAP Gateway services.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• SAP ABAP certification is a plus.
