The client is a leading provider of automotive services and digital marketing software, connecting the vehicle lifecycle from factory to scrapyard. They facilitate vehicle remarketing, logistics, and digital retail solutions for dealers, manufacturers, and fleet operators, specializing in defleeting, vehicle refurbishment, and electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure.

The new Marketplace is a next-generation platform that will unify vehicle remarketing across Europe. It represents a major step forward in delivering a scalable, multi-channel, and buyer-centric digital experience, while enabling OEMs, fleet clients, and dealers to operate more efficiently across borders.

Job Description
 

Must-have

• 4+ years of experience in test automation engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript
• Proven experience with Playwright for test automation
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Strong experience in API testing (e.g. Postman, SoapUI)
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Experience with CI/CD and containerization (Docker)
• Good understanding of software testing principles and automation best practices

Nice to have

• Experience with C# for automation purposes
• Experience with RestSharp
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS)
• Experience with performance testing tools such as k6
• Experience with additional test automation frameworks (e.g. Cypress)
• Knowledge of databases and basic SQL
• Experience in testing complex system integrations
• Understanding of risk-based testing approaches

Job Responsibilities
 

• Develop and implement test strategies that align with product requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, goals and to define testing milestones.
• Design, develop, and execute automated test cases to verify software functionality and performance.
• Perform exploratory testing where required, whilst seeking to automate all use cases.
• Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure the stability of software releases.
• Leverage automation tools and frameworks to streamline repetitive testing tasks and improve efficiency.
• Work on the continuous improvement of test automation practices and frameworks.
• Investigate, analyse, and document software defects, working closely with development teams to facilitate timely resolutions.
• Provide detailed and actionable feedback to development teams to enhance product quality.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality products.
• Participate in cross-functional team meetings to contribute to the overall development and testing process.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior test engineers.
• Lead by example, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the testing team.
