WordPress/PHP Developer

We're seeking a skilled WordPress/PHP/React Developer to join the internal delivery team of a global IT services company. You'll play a key role in maintaining and evolving a large-scale, customized WordPress platform, with a clear path toward full modernization. If you're comfortable working with legacy systems while driving improvements — this role is for you.
 

Core Competence:
 

• At least 2+ years of professional experience with WordPress, including custom themes, plugins, and backend logic.
• Strong proficiency in PHP and solid understanding of WordPress architecture and database structure.
• Practical experience with React.js for frontend components.
• Hands-on experience working with and improving legacy codebases.
• Ability to implement fixes, enhancements, and incremental updates in a stable production environment.
• Understanding of integrations with external systems and APIs.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
 

Preferred Qualifications:
 

• Experience participating in website or platform modernization/redevelopment projects.
• Familiarity with data-related integrations (e.g., analytics or BI tools like Snowflake/Tableau is a plus).
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams within an outsourcing environment.
• Ability to communicate in Russian for internal collaboration (nice to have).
• Upper-intermediate level of English for effective communication within a global team.
