Java Technical Lead

Our client is a global leader in infrastructure software, specializing in enterprise API management and digital integration.

They are looking for a strong technical leader to drive the development of high-load platform solutions and shape the future of their core product.

About the Position:

We are hiring a Java Technical Lead to take ownership of architecture and delivery within a fast-paced platform engineering team.

This is a hands-on leadership role, combining coding, system design, and team leadership to build scalable, cloud-native solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of distributed systems and platform services using Java
• Define and drive architecture decisions across APIs, microservices, and data layers
• Ensure best practices in performance, scalability, and system reliability
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and QA to deliver high-impact features
• Mentor engineers and grow a high-performing Agile team
• Drive code quality, CI/CD, and engineering standards
• Contribute to hiring and scaling the engineering team
• Identify technical risks and proactively solve complex challenges

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in software development
• 2+ years in a Tech Lead / Team Lead role
• Strong expertise in Java (mandatory)
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems
• Solid knowledge of API design and integration patterns
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Kubernetes / containerization
  • Cloud environments
  • PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis/Valkey
• Experience with CI/CD, test automation, and observability
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Agile/Scrum experience
