Cloud Operations Engineer

The Role

As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be at the heart of our digital evolution. Your mission is to advance the onboarding of products onto the platform and accelerate the implementation of product add-ons.

You won’t just be "keeping the lights on." Because our implementation of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is so innovative, our teams are actively influencing the product direction and roadmap of AVD itself. You will work within a Scrum environment, bridging the gap between mature desktop application architecture and modern cloud-native operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Onboarding: Streamline the transition of legacy desktop applications onto our Azure-based presentation platform.
• Infrastructure Management: Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud resources within Azure, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Feature Acceleration: Work closely with development teams to implement and scale product add-ons within the platform ecosystem.
• Innovative Scaling: Leverage expertise in remote application presentation to push the boundaries of what is possible with AVD.
• Collaborative Delivery: Participate in all Scrum ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure continuous improvement.

Your Technical Toolkit

• Azure Expertise: Proven experience managing and deploying resources within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• AVD Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop (or similar remote app presentation technologies) is highly preferred.
• Desktop App Awareness: You understand the nuances of .NET desktop application development, which helps you troubleshoot and optimize how these apps behave in a virtualized environment.
• Agile Mindset: Comfortable working in a fast-paced Scrum environment where adaptability is key.
• Operational Excellence: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring tools to ensure platform health.
