Full Stack Engineer (Netherlands)

We are looking for a Strong Middle / Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join an early-stage Dutch startup building a tech product with ML and data components.

Early-stage startup in the Netherlands is developing a foundational tech product that combines full-stack development with machine learning and data-driven features. The product is in its very early phase — everything is being built from scratch. You will be the second full-time engineer in the team, working closely with the founder and directly shaping the product architecture and direction.
 

Location: Netherlands (Delft)
Working format:

• First few months: remote possible
• Long-term: hybrid (office ~2 days/week in Delft) + relocation required (candidate should be willing to relocate to the Netherlands).
   

Your responsibilities will include:

• Full-stack product development (frontend + backend).
• Rapid feature iteration, experimentation and building production-ready features.
• Working across frontend (React), backend (Node.js) and some ML/data-related tasks (Python).
• Contributing to product decisions, system architecture and technical foundation.
• Collaborating closely with the founder and small core team.
• Building scalable and maintainable code in a very early-stage environment.
• Taking ownership of features from idea to production.
   

What we expect from you:

• 5+ years of experience working as a Full Stack Developer.
• Solid experience with TypeScript, React and Node.js (Express.js).
• Confident work with SQL / PostgreSQL.
• Strong learning ability and readiness to work as a highly adaptable generalist.
• Experience with product development and iterative approach.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Proactive, high-energy and product-oriented mindset.
• Comfortable working in a small team with high impact and minimal processes.
   

Nice to Have:

• Python experience (especially for ML or data tasks).
• Basic understanding of Machine Learning.
• Docker, cloud/infrastructure knowledge or networking fundamentals.
• UI/UX understanding.
• Biotechnology background.
