C# Lead

In a partnership with a global consulting company, we are looking for a high-caliber Senior C# Lead. In this role, you will spearhead the modernization of critical enterprise software, bridging the gap between established desktop powerhouses and the next generation of cross-platform applications. The client is a UK leader in business management and financial technology solutions.

As a Lead Engineer, you won’t just be writing code; you will be the architectural compass for the team, ensuring our suite of financial tools remains robust, scalable, and ahead of the curve.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Leadership: Drive the design and implementation of complex features across WPF and .NET MAUI environments.

Modernization: Lead the transition of legacy components into .NET Standard 2.0 libraries to maximize code reuse across mobile and desktop platforms.

Technical Mentorship: Conduct rigorous code reviews, mentor mid-level developers, and champion best practices in SOLID principles and MVVM architecture.

Execution: Solve high-level technical challenges involving asynchronous programming, performance profiling, and complex data binding.

Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners and UX Designers to translate intricate business requirements into seamless user experiences.

Must-Have Expertise:

Core Language: Mastery of C# and the .NET Ecosystem.

Desktop Excellence: Deep experience with WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation), including custom controls, styles, and templates.

Cross-Platform Vision: Proven experience (or strong proficiency) with .NET MAUI, specifically for deploying applications across multiple environments.

Shared Logic: Expert knowledge of .NET Standard 2.0 for building portable, version-resilient libraries.

Pattern Proficiency: Advanced understanding of the MVVM design pattern and Dependency Injection.

Nice-to-Haves:

Experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD pipelines.

Knowledge of SQL Server and Entity Framework Core.

Background in Fintech or ERP software development.
