Embedded Engineer

$$$$

About the Project:
It is an innovative MedTech solution designed for real-time cardiac monitoring. This system consists of a wearable chest device that records ECG data and transmits it via Bluetooth to a mobile application every 90 seconds. The data is then processed on the server and analyzed by healthcare professionals to provide life-saving prescriptions and insights.

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Engineer to join our Delivery team on a part-time basis. You will be the technical heart of the hardware-software integration, ensuring the device is reliable, power-efficient, and secure.

What you will do:

  • Develop and maintain robust firmware (C/C++) for microcontroller-based devices (Nordic nRF / Silabs);
  • Implement and optimize data transmission via BLE, Wi-Fi, and LTE stacks;
  • Manage hardware bring-up: testing prototypes, debugging PCB-related issues, and troubleshooting signal integrity;
  • Work with RTOS concepts (tasks, interrupts, synchronization) to ensure system stability;
  • Integrate peripherals via UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, PWM, and ADC;
  • Collaborate with hardware, QA, and product teams, and maintain technical documentation.

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of commercial experience in Embedded software development;
  • Strong knowledge of C/C++ and software design principles;
  • Experience with microcontrollers, specifically Nordic (nRF) and Silabs, including Nordic Connect SDK, LTE, and WiFi stacks;
  • Solid understanding of RTOS concepts (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, etc.);
  • Hands-on experience with embedded interfaces: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, PWM, ADC;
  • Proven experience with AWS IoT Core and cloud integration;
  • Deep knowledge of wireless protocols: BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa, Zigbee;
  • Proficiency with debugging tools: JTAG/SWD, oscilloscope, logic analyzer;
  • Solid understanding of low-level topics: interrupts, memory management, and bootloaders;
  • Experience with Git (knowledge of CI/CD pipelines is a plus);
  • Strong Hardware / PCB skills: ability to work closely with the hardware team, read/analyze schematics and PCB layouts;
  • Basic understanding of electronics: power supply, signal integrity, filtering, and noise issues;
  • Experience with hardware bring-up, board testing, and troubleshooting;
  • Working proficiency in English (Intermediate/B1 or higher), ability to read and interpret technical documentation in English (datasheets, reference manuals).

Bonus points for:

  • Embedded Linux experience (Yocto / Buildroot);
  • Experience with safety/security standards (MISRA, ISO 26262, Secure Boot);
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

What we offer:

  • Access to internal and external training, certification reimbursement;
  • 18 working days of paid vacation, 10 compensated public holidays, and up to 10 paid sick days;
  • Up to $300/year for English classes + a free speaking club;
  • Up to $180/year for sports activities;
  • A strong culture of knowledge sharing with senior experts you can really learn from;
  • New equipment provision, and accounting support if needed;
  • Competitive market-level salary with regular performance and salary reviews;
  • Extra perks such as an insurance fund, seasonal gifts, celebrations, and additional team compensations;
  • A psychologically safe and supportive environment;
  • Active social responsibility and continuous support for the Armed Forces.
