DevOps Engineer (Azure)

Description

The project is delivered for a client who is one of the world’s leading providers of elevators, escalators, and moving walkways, as well as maintenance and modernization services. The company operates in over 100 countries and has production sites as well as research and development facilities in the US, Brazil, Europe, China, and India. In other words, their products are used by people around the world every day.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role
• 3+ years of experience implementing and maintaining Azure cloud infrastructure
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Experience in software deployment and maintenance
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working with Kubernetes
• Understanding of networking concepts (routing, VPNs)
• Experience with Azure infrastructure services: IoT Hub, IoT Edge, Azure Key Vault, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Monitor, Cosmos DB
• Solid understanding of networking: DNS, TCP/IP, routing, load balancers
• Strong team player
• Upper-intermediate level of English (spoken and written), with the ability to actively and openly communicate with an English-speaking client
   

Job responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain observability solutions using Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana, including actionable dashboards, alerting rules, and monitoring strategies for distributed systems
• Develop automation and operational tooling in Python, including integrations with cloud and internal APIs to streamline infrastructure and platform operations
• Operate and support event-driven architectures using Azure Event Hub and Azure Service Bus, ensuring reliability, scalability, and proper message processing patterns
• Monitor and optimize database and platform performance, including tuning Cosmos DB and PostgreSQL, as well as optimizing resource utilization in Kubernetes environments
• Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, ensuring reliable build, test, and deployment processes
• Support the transition to GitOps practices using ArgoCD, improving deployment consistency and operational efficiency
• Scale and evolve the platform observability stack to support growing infrastructure and service complexity
• Collaborate with cloud development teams and consumers (e.g., mobile app and frontend teams)
