Trainee Test Engineer

Job Description

- Basic understanding of software testing principles, types, techniques, and the software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of relational databases (preferably SQL Server); ability to write and execute simple SQL queries (SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE).
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to document test cases and results clearly.
- Basic knowledge of virtualization tools such as VMware and Oracle VirtualBox.
- English at a level sufficient to read technical documentation.
- Willingness to learn and grow in the QA field.

Job Responsibilities

- Training and performing software testing tasks for a project.
- Executing test cases, documenting results, and reporting issues.
- Setting up and working with virtual machines in VMware and Oracle VirtualBox for testing purposes.
- Collaborating with developers and other QA team members to ensure software quality.
- Learning and applying best practices in quality assurance.

Department/Project Description

Our client is a big medical equipment manufacturer located in the United States. We have completed a lot of projects for them during the last 20 years and continue our strong relationship. We are creating a desktop application that allows to connect to customer equipment in the field via USB or Bluetooth and allows customers to perform common device maintenance tasks.
