Software Engineer with strong Mortgage experience $$$$

At Bee Techy, a top 1% software development agency building mission-critical fintech systems, we are hiring a Software Engineer with strong Mortgage experience who can guide the team to take ownership of our loan product recommendation, pricing, and routing system. Your primary goal is to stabilize, rebuild, and bring to production a deterministic and auditable pipeline, ensuring accurate loan product outputs across QM and Non-QM flows.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and own solutions for the loan product recommendation, pricing, and routing system
- Identify and resolve integration gaps and configuration issues across UWM, SmartFee, AUS, and similar systems
- Integrate and harden pricing engine connections to UWM LoanXchange and marketplace lenders
- Reconcile pricing outputs and product sets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and auditability
- Design and implement rules/eligibility engines aligned with underwriting logic (FICO, DSCR, fees, etc.)
- Ensure deterministic outputs through proper data mapping, validation, and system design
- Debug and resolve complex data mismatches and pricing inconsistencies in production
- Work with incomplete or evolving specifications and translate them into robust, production-ready systems

Required Skills (Strict Requirements)
- Mortgage / lending or fintech experience is required
- Strong familiarity with MISMO, AUS workflows, and loan/pricing systems
- Solid understanding of pricing engines, rules engines, and underwriting logic
- Proven experience with API integrations (complex, multi-system environments)
- Strong ability to debug data mismatches and configuration-driven issues
- Ability to work with incomplete specifications and drive clarity independently

What You Bring to the Hive
- Proven track record of owning production, API-heavy systems and integrations
- Strong experience fixing real-world pricing and data issues in production environments
- Deep understanding of mortgage domain concepts (loan pricing, underwriting, fees, broker rate sheets)
- Experience building eligibility/rules engines with focus on auditability and testability
- Strong skills in API design, secure credential handling, and data mapping
- Demonstrated system thinking, ownership, and execution ability
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive delivery

Compensation & Setup
- $35โ€“$45/hour
- Part-time position: 20hrs pr week (hourly, no benefits)
- +5% guaranteed raise every 3 months (first year, KPI-based)
