Role Purpose

• Design and implement scalable, robust and reliable backend systems to support the live casino platform, ensuring they are secure and performant.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including product owners, software developers, and QA engineers to deliver new features and functionality to the platform.

• Ensure that all backend systems are well-documented and well-tested, and that appropriate monitoring and alerting is in place to detect and resolve issues as they arise.

• Mentor and coach junior developers, helping them to grow their skills and knowledge in backend development, software engineering best practices and casino domain knowledge.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies and best practices in backend development, and actively apply them to improve the platform.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• At least 5 years of professional experience in backend development with a focus on high-availability, high-performance, scalable and secure systems.

• Knowledge and experience of the Live Casino Game Shows, or from a similar broadcasting application (dealing with streaming, camera switching, tally lights and similar) is highly considered.

• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Java, Python or Go.

• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and caching systems such as Redis or Memcached.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP, and containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• A passion for software development and a desire to continuously learn and improve.

The budget for this role is 3000 - 3500 eur gross.
