Our client is a large enterprise organization in the professional sports industry, currently undergoing a significant DevOps transformation as part of a multi-year partnership with a leading digital consultancy. They are focused on modernizing their engineering practices, improving platform capabilities, and enabling high-performing teams to deliver at scale. Their environment is collaborative, fast-evolving, and driven by strategic innovation across engineering and enterprise architecture.
We are seeking a Platform Enablement Lead who brings a unique blend of DevOps expertise and project leadership. This role is ideal for someone who can guide teams through technical and cultural transformation - acting as both a strategic leader and a hands-on facilitator of change. The right candidate will be comfortable navigating complex organizations, driving alignment, and fostering strong collaboration across stakeholders.
As a Platform Enablement Lead, you will:
- Drive DevOps transformation initiatives across engineering and architecture teams;
- Lead strategic programs that improve platform adoption and developer experience;
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders;
- Guide change management efforts to support organizational evolution;
- Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and delivery;
- Provide leadership in both technical direction and project execution;
- Promote best practices in DevOps, platform engineering, and delivery processes.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in DevOps and technical project management;
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive strategic initiatives;
- Proven ability to navigate organizational change and transformation;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills;
- High emotional intelligence and strong cultural awareness;
- Ability to work effectively across distributed teams in a remote environment;
- Self-driven with strong ownership and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with platform engineering concepts and tooling;
- Familiarity with the Humanitec platform;
- Interest in or knowledge of the professional sports industry (especially hockey).
Engagement Details:
- Contract role with immediate start;
- Duration from mid/late April through July, with potential extension;
- Full-time commitment (40 hours per week, ~500+ hours total);
- Fully remote, aligned to Eastern Daylight Time working hours;
- Competitive hourly rate.
