Senior Frontend Engineer to $8000

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our client's engineering team in a long-term engagement. This is a fully remote, full-time role for someone who takes real ownership of frontend systems end-to-end, collaborates naturally with backend engineers, and cares deeply about code quality, architecture, and user experience.

You will not be expected to work deeply on backend implementation — but you should be comfortable reading it, understanding it, and integrating cleanly with it.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, product thinking, and building scalable, maintainable frontend systems used in real production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, develop, and maintain complex frontend applications using React and TypeScript
• Build scalable, reusable UI components and architecture within a monorepo setup

• Own frontend features end-to-end — from requirements and UI logic through to API

  integration and production readiness

• Integrate with NestJS-based APIs, ensuring clean and well-typed contracts
• Drive technical decisions around frontend architecture and long-term maintainability
• Ensure high performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across all applications
• Contribute to shared tooling, libraries, and frontend standards within the monorepo
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers
• Improve frontend reliability through testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices

Requirements:

• 7+ years of commercial engineering experience — senior-level candidates only
• Expert-level knowledge of React and TypeScript
• Strong grasp of modern frontend architecture, state management (including xState), and performance optimisation
• Experience in monorepo environments (Nx, Turborepo, or similar)
• Solid understanding of API integration patterns — REST and/or GraphQL — and data flows
• Ability to work independently and deliver consistently in a distributed, remote team
• Excellent English communication skills — written and verbal
• AI-native engineering mindset — you actively use LLMs and AI tooling as part of your everyday development workflow
• Proven track record of long-term, high-impact contributions in previous roles

Nice to Have:

• Experience building AI-powered frontend features — streaming responses, AI chat interfaces, real-time feedback UX, or LLM-integrated workflows
• Familiarity with NestJS or backend service architecture
• Experience in fintech, KYC/KYB, or regulated industry products
• Open-source contribution history
