About the Project
You'll be joining a team working on a high-traffic web platform focused on URL management and link intelligence. The product handles hundreds of millions of redirects and serves a large global user base, with strict requirements around reliability, performance, and uptime. The backend is built on a PHP-based application stack running on bare-metal servers, complemented by a modern Kubernetes-based infrastructure. The system relies on MariaDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, and RabbitMQ, with Cloudflare handling traffic at the edge. The team follows a structured release process with Jira-tracked workflows, Confluence documentation, and CI/CD pipelines via Bitbucket.
What You'll Be Testing
Your primary focus will be on features delivered by the development team:
• URL shortening and redirect logic — core product functionality including edge cases around link creation, resolution, and expiration
• API endpoints — functional testing of internal and external API behavior, request/response validation, error handling
What We Expect:
• Basic understanding of how web applications work (HTTP, request/response cycle)
• Ability to write and execute manual test cases
• Attention to detail and willingness to ask questions
• Comfortable working in English (documentation and tickets are in English)
Nice to Have:
• Familiarity with Postman or any API testing tool
• Experience with Jira or similar task trackers
What We Offer:
• Hands-on experience with a production-grade, high-load system
