Fullstack Software Engineer (Node.js / React / AWS) $$$

About the role

We're hiring in partnership with a global consulting company for a project with a major UK-based media & telecom company.

You'll join a newly formed SFV Tooling team — building internal tooling that helps editorial staff create and manage short-form video content across the organisation. Cross-functional Agile team, real product impact, modern stack.

React frontend + Node.js/TypeScript backend. AWS infrastructure. Culture of quality, testing and continuous delivery.

What you'll do

• Develop software that meets given product specifications
• Review code and give constructive feedback to teammates
• Write tests using TDD approaches — quality and coverage matter
• Integrate software with monitoring and support tools
• Support system integration in its operating environment
• Write and review technical documentation
• Help troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including out-of-hours when needed
• Participate in Agile planning and delivery ceremonies
• Practice pairing, code reviews and continuous delivery as part of daily workflow
• Stay up to date with existing and emerging technologies
   

Must have

• Production experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js
• Understanding of web architecture and key technologies
• TDD and broader QA/testing competence
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally AWS CodeBuild
• Competence in operational concerns: monitoring, performance, security
• Agile project experience in professional software teams
• English — written and spoken, required. Direct communication with UK-side stakeholders
   

Nice to have:

• Experience with database design and use in applications
• Experience releasing software to production
• Participated in code reviews and inspections
• Understanding of non-functional requirements
