From an infrastructure perspective, it relies on cloud-based and distributed systems, supported by Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and monitoring tools.

About the Role:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at proteanTecs, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure and deployment processes for a complex, customer-facing product. You will work in a small, distributed team with high ownership, contributing end-to-end from design to production. The role focuses on CI/CD pipelines, cloud and Kubernetes environments, and overall system reliability, observability, and performance. You will work closely with development teams to improve deployment processes, automate workflows, and support customer environments when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and related tools.
• Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP or similar environments.
• Manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes, including Helm charts.
• Automate configuration and deployment processes using Ansible.
• Monitor system performance and reliability using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues in production environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve system scalability, reliability and deployment processes.
• Maintain networking configurations, DNS management, and load balancing solutions.
• Support customer-facing deployments and integrations when needed.

Required Competence and Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Proficiency with GitHub and GitHub Actions for version control and CI/CD.
• Strong experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• Strong experience with containerization and Kubernetes orchestration, including Docker and Helm.
• Knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation tasks.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, DNS, and cloud load balancing.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with distributed teams.
• Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Terragrunt.
• Basic database knowledge and administration skills.
