Senior Fullstack Developer (Java / React) $$$$

Chalice LTD is expanding its team and is looking for a new Senior Fullstack Developer with a passion for new technologies to join an exciting and growing project.

The project is fast-growing sport startup, focused on tennis and AI features to bring the most innovative and cutting age experience for their mobile app users in order to improve the game to the next level. 

Responsibilities

AI & Product

• Build AI Agents that help users create risk-controls, data analytics, and automated reports.
• Apply context engineering, tool use, and evaluations with multiple frontier LLMs.
• Implement AI-powered features on the frontend and integrate them into user-facing workflows.

Frontend

• Extend the frontend application with new pages, components, and features using HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and Angular/React.
• Implement responsive, accessible UI following clean code and SOLID principles.

Backend

• Extend backend services and data models based on Java and Spring Boot.
• Follow Domain-Driven Design (DDD) for application architecture and Test-Driven Development (TDD) for feature implementation.

Infrastructure & Architecture

• Deploy applications to Kubernetes (AKS) using Helm and Flux-v2.
• Manage cloud infrastructure in Azure using Pulumi.
• Contribute to and challenge architecture decisions; document rationale using Arc42 and C4 models.

Must-haves

• 7+ years of hands-on frontend development experience using Angular or React, TailwindCSS, and TypeScript.
• 5+ years of backend development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes (AKS), Azure, and Pulumi.
• TDD, SOLID, Clean Code, CI/CD, Arc42, DDD, and C4 are part of your daily routine — not just buzzwords.
• Strong communication skills in English (German is a plus).
• Hands-on AI experience is a must — you've worked with LLMs, agents, or AI-powered features in production.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in an early-stage startup environment.
• Familiarity with compliance, risk management, or RegTech domains.
• Experience with additional frontier AI tools, prompt engineering, or LLM evaluation frameworks.
• German language proficiency.
