Senior Fullstack Engineer (AI-First)

OneTablet is a restaurant delivery management platform that helps restaurants sell more and operate better across DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, and other ordering platforms. We optimize the signals that platform algorithms use to rank restaurants, enhance menus with AI, and expand sales surface — so restaurants make more money, measurably, in dollars.

We operate AI-first. AI isn't a buzzword here — it's how we actually run. We use AI agents internally to monitor stores, investigate issues, and handle operational work that traditional teams do manually. Our support team is built around this: smaller, sharper, more technical, and every person has real ownership over outcomes — not just tickets.
 

What you'll do

- Build and own product features end-to-end (backend + frontend)
- Design and implement business logic and workflows used daily by restaurants
- Work with and extend autonomous agents, MCP servers, skills, hooks, and sub-agents as part of daily development
- Build automations across the software development lifecycle — not just AI-assisted coding, but autonomous systems that plan, execute, verify, and iterate
- Collaborate closely with product and design — not just "implement tickets"
- Proactively improve existing development practices and push the boundaries of what's automatable

What we expect

- AI-First Development (critical)
- 1+ year of hands-on AI-first development — AI is your default, not an add-on
- Proficiency with Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools at a deep level — not tab completion, but agentic workflows, harness engineering, background agents
- Practical experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) — building servers, designing tools, connecting agents to systems
- Experience creating and managing AI agents: skills, sub-agents, hooks, back-pressure mechanisms, context architecture
- Understanding of the full agentic engineering stack

Engineering
- Strong full-stack experience (Node.js / TypeScript + React)
- Hands-on experience with GraphQL in production
- UX sensitivity — you care how things feel, not just if they work

Product & Ownership
- Strong product vision — you think about what to build, not just how
- High ownership: you ship, you fix, you improve
- Ability to lead the full engineering process e2e — from discovery to production
- Startup / small team experience

Big plus

- Ability to improve existing development practices — introducing better workflows, tooling, automation patterns
- Desire to develop and grow AI development expertise within the team
- Experience with dashboards, admin tools, or B2B products
- GCP, PostgreSQL
- React Native
