Intern Automation Test Engineer

Project Description:

One of the world's largest providers of products and services to the energy industry has a need to develop and support enterprise information system in Oil & Gas domain.

Responsibilities:

Create and maintain automated test scripts under senior supervision using Test Architect (Desktop)
Transform business requirements into test conditions and automated test flows
Support stability of test cases, reduce test flakiness and improve existing test scripts based on acceptance criteria
Debug test cases effectively to find the root cause
Perform defect reporting with clarity in issue description and steps to reproduce
Follow best practices of maintenance and support of the QA Automation Framework
Collaborate with product owners and developers to clarify business requirements
Apply shift-left testing approach to ensure early detection of defects

Mandatory Skills Description:

Solid understanding of testing theory with test design practices
Understanding of phases and types of testing according to SDLC and STLC needs
Hands-on experience with BDD automation framework OR Action-Based Testing (ABT) Framework
Ability to create clear test scripts and provide structured execution reports
Awareness of test coverage and traceability approaches
Outstanding problem-solving and debugging skills
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Proactive mindset and willingness to continue development in the QA Automation field
Strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

Understanding of component and integration testing
Familiarity with cloud environments
Ability to use CI/CD pipelines
Awareness of test reporting tools and how to set them up in a test automation framework
Experience testing apps in oil and gas domain
