We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in C#/.NET and Microsoft Azure to take full ownership of a business-critical integration solution. This role is perfect for a proactive specialist who excels in serverless architectures (Azure Functions & Logic Apps) and thrives in environments where they can drive technical decisions and ensure system reliability.

Job Description As a Senior Backend/Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for the evolution and stability of an existing integration ecosystem. The project is at a stage where we need a hands-on expert to ensure a smooth knowledge transfer from the departing engineer and lead the platform toward better scalability and maintainability.

You will work closely with stakeholders, translating business needs into robust technical integration flows within energy and IoT-related domains.

Responsibilities

  • System Ownership: Take over and enhance an existing integration solution based on Azure Logic Apps and Functions.
  • Modernization: Optimize backend services and integration flows to improve monitoring, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaboration: Actively participate in knowledge transfer sessions and work directly with client stakeholders.
  • Architecture: Contribute to architectural decisions and implement best practices for Azure integration services.
  • Operations: Troubleshoot incidents and ensure the stable day-to-day operation of business-critical workflows.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation to ensure a sustainable long-term setup.

Requirements

  • Technical Stack: 5+ years of commercial experience with C# / .NET.
  • Cloud Expertise: Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, specifically Azure Functions and Logic Apps.
  • Integrations: Proven track record in building and maintaining system integrations, REST APIs, and backend services.
  • Architecture: Strong understanding of event-driven and serverless patterns.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work independently with a limited ramp-up time and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Mindset: A proactive "owner" who can jump into an existing environment and take responsibility from day one.

Additional Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation in Azure.
  • Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.
  • Background in Energy, Utility, or IoT domains.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP).
