Senior Backend Developer (.NET, Azure)

Project Description
As a Senior Backend Developer, you will join a high-profile team of business analysts, solution architects, and developers working on a strategic project within Group Accumulation Management.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing integration solutions based on business requirements across the full project lifecycle, with a focus on agile development, data modeling, and domain expertise in Commercial Insurance and Risk Management.

Responsibilities

• Work with IT Solution Architect to clarify business requirements and estimate development efforts
• Break down tasks and implement user stories
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team on issue reporting, resolution, and change control
• Assist other teams with troubleshooting issues related to applications and integrations

Mandatory Skills

• CQRS
• Microsoft Azure DevOps

Technical Competencies

.NET / C#

• Strong hands-on experience with C# and modern .NET (6/7/8)
• Experience building Web APIs and backend services (ASP.NET Core)
• Solid understanding of dependency injection, middleware, and configuration management
• Experience with RESTful services and API design best practices
• Understanding of authentication and authorization (OAuth2 / JWT)

Cloud Technologies

• Experience with at least one cloud platform: Azure (preferred) / AWS / GCP
• Experience with cloud-native application design
• Experience with PaaS services (App Services, Azure Functions, etc.)
• Experience with containerization (Docker)
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Understanding of observability (logging, monitoring, tracing)
• Experience with configuration and secrets management

MS SQL Server

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Database design and schema optimization
• Writing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions
• Performance tuning and query optimization
• Indexing strategies and execution plan analysis
• Experience with data migration and transformation

Experience

• 4–6+ years of professional experience in C#/.NET development
• Proven experience delivering cloud-based solutions
• Hands-on experience with MS SQL in enterprise environments

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Additional relevant technical or domain experience is a plus
