.NET Engineer (Core 8, Backend Focus)

We are a US-based software development company delivering backend solutions for enterprise clients.

We are looking for a .NET Engineer to take ownership of backend development on an active project built with .NET Core 8.

This role is suited for someone who can work independently, take responsibility for technical decisions, and deliver clean, production-ready code.

Work setup

• Full-time involvement (30–40 hours per week)
• Long-term cooperation (expected 6+ months)
• Requires partial overlap with US Eastern time

• Direct collaboration with Engineering Lead and Product Manager

   

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using ASP.NET Core (.NET 8)
• Build and support RESTful APIs
• Implement data access using Entity Framework Core
• Design and optimize MS SQL Server queries and stored procedures
• Develop and maintain background processing solutions

• Collaborate with the Engineering Lead and cross-functional team

   

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience with C# / .NET
• Strong expertise in ASP.NET Core
• Solid experience with Entity Framework Core
• Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server, including performance tuning
• Experience building scalable backend systems
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks

• Strong communication skills in English

• Experience with microservices architecture or CQRS
• Familiarity with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
• Experience with unit and integration testing
