Senior Frontend Engineer (AI focused) to $10000

Metamindz is a fast-growing UK-based IT software company. We support global clients by providing fractional CTOs-as-a-service, building digital products, hiring exceptional technical talent, and conducting in-depth tech due diligence.

We’re currently looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join one of our clients in a long-term engagement. This is a full-time remote opportunity for a highly senior engineer with deep frontend expertise, who is comfortable working in monorepo environments and collaborating closely with backend systems built in NestJS, including AI-powered services.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, product thinking, and building scalable, intelligent frontend systems that integrate with modern AI/LLM-driven features in real production environments.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, develop, and maintain complex frontend applications using React and TypeScript
• Build scalable, reusable UI architectures within a monorepo setup
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers working with NestJS, including integration with AI/LLM-powered services
• Design and implement user-facing features that leverage AI capabilities (e.g. smart assistants, automation flows, data-driven insights)
• Take ownership of frontend architecture, technical decisions, and long-term maintainability
• Ensure high performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across applications
• Improve frontend reliability through testing, code reviews, and best practices
• Work closely with product managers and designers to translate requirements into high-quality, AI-enhanced user experiences
• Contribute to shared tooling, libraries, and standards within the monorepo
• Write clean, readable, and well-structured code with a strong focus on quality

Requirements:

• 7+ years of commercial engineering experience (senior-level only)
• Expert-level knowledge of React and TypeScript
• Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture and state management
• Experience working in monorepo environments (Nx, Turborepo, or similar)
• Solid understanding of backend concepts and experience integrating with APIs (experience with NestJS is a strong plus)
• Experience working with or integrating AI/LLM-based features (e.g. OpenAI APIs, embeddings, AI-driven UX) is a strong plus
• Understanding of designing and consuming well-typed APIs
• Strong sense of ownership and product responsibility
• Ability to work independently in distributed, remote teams
• Clear communication skills and a pragmatic, problem-solving mindset

Nice to have:

• Experience building AI-powered user interfaces or working on data-intensive products
• Familiarity with prompt design, LLM interaction patterns, or AI-driven workflows
