Job Description

• 5+ years in professional software engineering with a focus on full-stack web applications.
• Expert in Java (Spring Boot), REST APIs, and microservices orchestration via Kubernetes.
• Deep knowledge of Oracle or SQL and Databricks data warehousing.
• Good understanding of React (hooks, state management) and modern web standards.
• Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS services.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle challenges proactively and efficiently.
• Functional knowledge or integration experience with Salesforce.
• Experience with Agile tools like Jira and Confluence.
• B.Sc in Computer Science is an advantage.

Job Responsibilities

• Full Stack Development: Build scalable, end-to-end features using Java 17+ (Spring Boot) and React.
• Cloud & Serverless: Architect and deploy event-driven services using Azure Functions or AWS Lambda.
• Data & Warehousing: Design high-performance schemas in Oracle and manage large-scale data processing within Databricks.
• Agile Leadership: Participate actively in all Scrum ceremonies, including:
  - Sprint Planning: Estimate user stories and define the sprint backlog.
  - Daily Stand-ups: Coordinate daily progress and proactively identify blockers.
  - Sprint Reviews/Retrospectives: Demo completed work to stakeholders and drive continuous process improvements.
• Implement testing strategies including unit, integration, and automation tests to ensure the delivery of high-quality code.
• Stay updated on new technologies and methodologies to ensure continuous improvement of the development process
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including code structure, API documentation, and user guides.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Department/Project Description

Our client is a performance rights organization in the United States. It collects blanket license fees from businesses that use music, entitling those businesses to play or sync any songs from the client's repertoire of over 22.4 million musical works. On a regular basis, the client distributes the money to songwriters, composers, and music publishers as royalties to those members whose works have been performed.
