We are looking for a creative and structured Narrative Designer to join our team. You will be responsible for building the foundation of our game worlds, crafting engaging plots, and writing character-driven dialogues that keep players hooked. As we focus on mobile titles, your challenge will be to tell compelling stories within the fast-paced flow of mobile gameplay.

We are looking for a professional for the role that requires:

• Full-time job;

• Office-based in Kyiv.

   

Key responsibilities:

• World Building: Create the narrative foundation, including setting, themes, tone, and detailed character bios/arcs.
• Scriptwriting: Write engaging scripts, branching dialogues, quest descriptions, and UI/UX copy.
• Narrative Design: Design interactive structures and logic (variables, flags, and choices) to ensure story continuity.
• Documentation: Create and maintain clear narrative bibles, flowcharts, and character relationship diagrams.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Game Designers, Artists, and Developers to align the story with gameplay mechanics and pacing.

• Quality Assurance: Review game builds to ensure the narrative is implemented correctly and provides the intended emotional journey.

   

Our ideal candidate:

• Experience: 1+ years of experience in the game industry as a Narrative Designer or Writer.
• Writing Skills: A proven ability to write concise, clear, and character-true dialogue.
• Storytelling Mastery: A solid grasp of story structure, pacing, and how to create immersive interactive scenes.
• Technical Literacy: Familiarity with narrative tools (e.g., Miro, Articy, or Twine) and the ability to work within engine-ready formats (spreadsheets or markup).
• Language: Upper-Intermediate English (or higher).

• Gamer Heart: You are an avid gamer with a deep interest in geek culture and mobile game trends.

   

Nice to have:

• Experience with branching dialogue systems and non-linear storytelling.
• Experience in casual/F2P mobile games and understanding of their monetization and retention mechanics.
• Familiarity with Unity.

• A background in screenwriting, creative writing, or filmmaking.
