DSP Validation Engineer (3GPP NR)

GlobalLogic Top Employer

Project Description

We are seeking a skilled wireless signal processing engineer to join our team and contribute to the validation of next‑generation IoT chips (3GPP NR), with core responsibilities centered on validating wireless baseband algorithms implemented in a C++ simulator and requiring a solid understanding of wireless DSP algorithms, knowledge of 3GPP physical‑layer specifications for NR (and optionally LTE), experience with Python and MATLAB, and the ability to create test cases and interpret and analyze performance results

Job Description

  • Master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Industry experience of 8+ years in relevant field: Wireless communication, Signal processing, 3GPP LTE/NR standards
  • Proficiency in programming languages: C++, MATLAB and Python

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with a Linux‑based C++ simulator that executes DSP algorithms for the NR baseband.
  • Perform system modeling in accordance with 3GPP requirements and internal specifications.
  • Create performance‑validation test cases such as Packet Error Rate, probability of detection, probability of false alarm, and measurement statistics (mean, standard deviation, etc.).
  • Implement these test cases within the Python environment that accompanies the C++ simulator.
  • Interpret and analyze results using MATLAB and Python.
  • Understand DSP algorithms such as OFDM modulation, PBCH, PDCCH, PDSCH, PSS/SSS detection, timing/frequency/gain estimation and tracking loops, wireless channel estimation, FFT processing, etc
  • Prepare and maintain performance reports.
  • Support investigations of configuration or performance issues
