Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Node.js/React)

Our family-style company is looking for a strong Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (8+ years). This is a long-term, full-time position in a startup in the field of Cyber Security and AI.

About the Role

This is a backend-oriented full-stack position with significant frontend responsibilities. You’ll build and own features end-to-end, including CRUD workflows, database tasks, schema changes, and AI integrations.
You’ll collaborate closely with developers, Team Leads, and PMs in a highly collaborative Agile environment with ticket-based workflow (Jira). The role requires strong ownership, a startup mindset, and the ability to mentor other developers.

What you’ll do:

• Take ownership of full-stack features, including backend and frontend work
• Implement CRUD workflows, database tasks, schema changes, and AI integrations
• Ensure production-grade quality: monitoring, debugging, performance optimization, handling real-world issues

• Contribute to system architecture: design new components or evolve existing ones with focus on performance, scalability, cost, and maintainability.

   

What We’re Looking For:

• TypeScript and Node.js (core services)
• React and Shadcn for frontend development
• Backend development with Node.js, Fastify or NestJS
• PostgreSQL and Drizzle ORM
• Testing with Jest (unit tests) and Playwright (E2E tests)
• Experience with scalable systems and software architecture
• Startup mindset and ownership of features end-to-end
• Agile, collaborative environment with ticket-based workflow (Jira)
• Ability to mentor other developers

• Strong English proficiency and clear communication skills.

   

Nice to have:

• Python experience
• AWS or GCP
• Docker, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines

• Kubernetes

   

Interview Process:

The hiring process includes:

• Frontend technical interview (≈1 hour)
• Backend + System Design interview (≈1.5 hours)

The client may also request a short introductory interview as a final step.
