Senior Software Engineer (Scala / Python / TypeScript)

Our client develops Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) solutions focused on AI-driven lung cancer detection, diagnostics, and therapy for the US and European healthcare markets.

As the product and customer base grow, the company is expanding its engineering team to accelerate the existing product roadmap.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend and service components using Scala and Python
• Contribute to frontend and service integrations using TypeScript
• Work on AI-powered healthcare solutions related to diagnostic workflows
• Implement integrations with healthcare standards such as DICOM and HL7
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI/ML engineers and product teams
• Contribute to scalable, secure, and compliant medical software systems
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high engineering standards

Requirements

• Strong development experience with Scala, Python, and TypeScript
• Experience building scalable backend services and APIs
• Experience working with cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure
• Understanding of modern software architecture and distributed systems
• Ability to work in an Agile environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in an international team
• English level B2 or higher

Nice to Have

• Experience in medical technology / healthcare software
• Familiarity with DICOM or medical imaging workflows
• Experience with HL7 integration or other healthcare interoperability standards
• Experience working with AI/ML systems in production
• Knowledge of regulatory environments related to medical software
