Backend Engineer (Python)

Looking for a Backend Engineer (Python) for an Israeli fintech / regtech company that develops platforms for digital identity management, customer onboarding, and regulatory compliance for financial institutions and enterprises.

Remote, full-time

Working Schedule: 10.30-19.00 Kyiv time

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in backend development using Python.
• Strong experience with FastAPI or similar Python frameworks.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Solid knowledge of MySQL and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with authentication and authorisation standards (OAuth, JWT).
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• English: spoken

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and modern frameworks such as FastAPI.
• Build reliable and high-performance components that support core business functionality.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, JWT).
• Ensure API performance, scalability, and security.
• Design and manage database schemas and data models.
• Work with relational databases (MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB) to support application requirements.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure application stability and reliability.
• Maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented code following development best practices
