Senior Full-Stack Engineer (On-Call Support)

ORIL is looking for an experienced Full-Stack Engineer with DevOps skills to support a business-critical aviation operations system. The engineer will be responsible for investigating and resolving critical issues across application, database, infrastructure, and integrations, ensuring the system operates smoothly at all times.

This role focuses on production reliability, incident response, and system stability outside regular working hours. This role requires weekday on-call availability from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM EET (12:00 PM โ€“ 12:00 AM ET). Also the engineer is expected to handle incidents during weekends and holidays when needed, ensuring reliable support coverage for critical system issues. 

 

What are we looking for?

โ€” 5+ years of experience building production systems.

โ€” Strong Node.js / NestJS backend development skills.

โ€” Experience with Angular frontend development.

โ€” Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis.

โ€” Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines or similar).

โ€” Understanding of DevOps practices and infrastructure troubleshooting.

โ€” Experience supporting production systems and handling live incidents.

โ€” Ability to troubleshoot across code, database, integrations, and infrastructure.

โ€” Strong debugging and problem-solving skills under pressure.

โ€” Upper-Intermediate English (B2+) for communication with international teams.

Nice to have:
โ€” Experience in SRE or production support roles.
โ€” Experience with high-availability or mission-critical systems.
โ€” Experience with WebSockets or real-time applications.
โ€” Experience troubleshooting external API integrations.

 

What will you do?

โ€” Provide on-call support for production incidents, including emergency fixes.
โ€” Investigate and resolve critical issues affecting system stability.
โ€” Perform incident triage, root cause analysis, and mitigation actions.
โ€” Troubleshoot problems across frontend, backend, database, infrastructure, and integrations.
โ€” Support deployments and infrastructure troubleshooting.
โ€” Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve complex incidents.
โ€” Document incidents and solutions to improve system reliability.

 

Engagement Model:

โ€” Weekdays 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM EET (12:00 PM โ€“ 12:00 AM ET).

โ€” Full weekend and holiday coverage for critical incidents

โ€” Monthly retainer for availability.

โ€” Hourly compensation for actual incident work.

โ€” Long-term engagement (6+ months expected).
