Our client is looking for a skilled Release Manager to lead and coordinate release activities across Digital, Retail, and Supply Chain domains, supporting more than 10 Scrum teams. In this role, you will play a key part in establishing and standardizing release processes, especially as Digital delivery is executed through outsourced teams.
You will work closely with distributed engineering groups located in Ukraine, India, and across Europe, ensuring smooth, predictable, and high‑quality releases. This position requires strong communication, cross‑functional alignment, and the ability to bring structure and consistency to a fast‑moving environment.
The Release Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing software releases across all environments, including development, testing, staging, and production.
This role includes managing release planning, risk assessment, governance, compliance, and performance KPIs to ensure predictable, high‑quality, and business‑aligned software deployments—delivered on time, with the required quality, and with minimal risk or impact on customers and business operations.
We are looking for a candidate with:
– 4+ years of experience in Release Management within hybrid environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)
– experience managing large‑scale, multi‑team releases
– solid ITIL Change/Release Management expertise
– strong stakeholder management skills; familiarity with automation tools, ITSM platforms, and eCommerce/Retail/ERP ecosystems
– leadership experience in outsourced or distributed team setups and understanding of DevOps principles
Job responsibilities
- Release Planning Coordination
- Own and manage the end-to-end release lifecycle across multiple applications
and platforms. - Develop and maintain release calendars and roadmaps aligned to business priorities.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including development, QA, DevOps,
infrastructure, and business stakeholders. - Ensure all release components are properly integrated, tested, and approved.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business
stakeholders. - Facilitate release readiness reviews and governance forums.
- Provide executive-level reporting on release status, risks, and mitigation
plans. - Ensure clear communication of release scope, impacts, and timelines.
- Change Management
- Identify, assess, and manage release risks and dependencies.
- Ensure change management processes are followed in alignment with IT
governance. - Oversee rollback planning and contingency procedures.

- Governance; Compliance
- Ensure adherence to SDLC, DevOps, and ITIL best practices.
- Maintain release documentation, audit trails, and compliance records.
- Continuous Improvement
- Monitor release performance metrics (defect leakage, rollback frequency,
deployment success rate). - Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
- Champion automation and DevOps maturity initiatives.
