Senior Frontend (with AWS) Engineer IRC290845

Description

The Client is one of the major insurance companies in the UK. 

Our team of 3 Frontend and 2 DevOps engineers will be working with their ByMiles product which is going to be phased out. The project ensures platform stability and customer support until all policies 7, including feature updates, bug fixes and remediation.

Requirements

• Strong experience with TypeScript and React 
• Solid experience working with AWS
• Familiarity with Serverless Architecture, including hands-on or working knowledge of services such as AWS Lambda, AWS DynamoDB, Amazon RDS with PostgreSQL, Amazon ECS, AWS Step Functions
• Understanding of building and integrating APIs and cloud-based services.
• Experience working with distributed or cloud-native applications in an AWS environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional engineering teams and contribute to scalable, maintainable system design.
• Good level of English

Job responsibilities

• Develop and implement features required to support the business exit process.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, including bug fixes and issue remediation, to ensure stable service for customers during the transition period.
• Support and maintain release pipelines, ensuring timely delivery of fixes and updates.
• Assist in maintaining system stability and performance while customers continue to use the platform.
• Potentially support the migration of the ByMiles back book to a long-term platform once the final customers have transitioned off the service.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery of updates and minimal disruption to customers during the transition.
