Shopify Developer

Role Overview
 

We are looking for a decent Shopify Developer to join an existing eCommerce project and deliver measurable value quickly. The ideal candidate is hands‑on with Shopify (themes, apps, APIs), comfortable working in a fast‑paced product environment, and able to implement high‑quality features, fixes, and integrations with minimal ramp‑up.
 

Responsibilities:
 

• Implement and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Build and maintain Shopify apps and integrations (REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, third‑party services).
• Deliver production‑ready features quickly: estimate, implement, test, and deploy changes with minimal supervision.
• Optimize storefront performance and UX for conversion, accessibility, and mobile.
• Support data flows and integrations (inventory, ERP, payment gateways, analytics).
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and client stakeholders on requirements and releases.
• Maintain code quality and CI/CD practices, write automated and manual tests, and monitor production issues.
   

Must Have:
 

• 3+ years of hands‑on Shopify development experience (themes, Liquid, apps).
• Strong skills in Liquid, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3 and responsive design.
• Experience with Shopify APIs (REST and/or GraphQL), webhooks, and app development.
• Solid knowledge of version control (Git) and deployment workflows.
• Practical eCommerce experience: checkout flows, product variants, collections, metafields.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality changes quickly.
   

Advantage

• Experience with Shopify Plus and enterprise features (multipass, scripts, wholesale).
• Familiarity with headless/decoupled architectures (Next.js, Hydrogen, storefront APIs).
• Experience integrating with ERP/NetSuite, payment providers, or PIM systems.
• Knowledge of analytics, A/B testing, and CRO best practices.
• Client‑facing experience and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
   

What success looks like

Deliver fast, reliable improvements to the storefront and integrations that increase conversion, reduce manual work, and enable the project to scale - measured by faster release cadence, fewer production incidents, and clear business impact (conversion, revenue, or operational efficiency).
