Middle QA Automation Engineer to $3500

Project:
We are building an AI-augmented engineering environment where automated quality systems validate both human- and AI-generated code. Tech stack includes PHP/Perl backend, React/Vue/Next.js frontend, REST APIs, and GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines.

Location of the candidate — EU

Working hours: 11:30 — 20:00 CET

Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain automated testing across backend (PHP/Perl), frontend (React, Vue, Next.js), and REST APIs.
• Build and own integration, regression, E2E, mutation, and visual regression testing frameworks.
• Enforce TDD workflows (“Red before Green”) and implement verification processes for AI-generated code, including validation checks and Golden Master testing.
• Configure AI-assisted code review rules and quality checks to detect incorrect or hallucinated outputs.
• Own quality gates in GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, including smart test selection and API/SDK contract drift detection.
• Implement shift-left quality practices, including pre-commit hooks, linting/formatting, secret detection, and automated safe code fixes.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in QA Automation / Test Engineering.
• Experince with AI-assisted development tools or AI code review systems.
• Strong experience with automated testing frameworks for web applications and APIs.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript testing tools (Playwright)
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).
• Good understanding of TDD and modern QA practices.
