Java Engineer (Data Pipelines)

We are currently looking for a strong Java Engineer to join a US-based project in the FinTech space. The platform focuses on monitoring financial market activity, detecting suspicious behavior, and helping organizations ensure transparency and regulatory compliance across financial systems. The product processes extremely large volumes of data and events in real time. 

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Java engineer who has worked with data pipelines and large-scale data processing systems. In this role you will work on backend services and data processing infrastructure that handle high-throughput event streams and complex data workflows.

Responsibilities
• Design and develop backend services using Java
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing workflows
• Work with large volumes of structured and unstructured data
• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of the platform
• Participate in architecture and technical decision-making

Requirements
• Strong Java development experience
• Experience building or working with data pipelines
• Understanding of distributed systems and data processing architectures
• Experience working with databases and large datasets
 

Nice to have
• Experience with streaming or event-driven systems
• Experience with cloud environments
• FinTech or high-scale data platform experience
