Senior Full Stack Developer (React / PHP, German-speaking)

Project description

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team and work on digital media platforms with high daily traffic.

Our client is a media company that develops and maintains several large online news portals used by thousands of users every day. The platforms deliver real-time news, sports updates, and digital content to a broad audience and require continuous feature development, performance optimization, and system scalability.

You will work on both frontend and backend development, contributing to new features, platform improvements, and technical decisions throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance features for large-scale web platforms
• Build modern frontend solutions using React
• Implement and maintain backend functionality using PHP
• Work with APIs, databases, and integration with existing systems
• Participate in technical design and architecture decisions
• Estimate development efforts and evaluate technical feasibility
• Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and deployment best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and engineering
• Contribute to engineering standards and best practices within the team
   

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development
• Strong expertise in JavaScript / TypeScript
• Solid experience with React
• Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS
• Backend development experience (preferably PHP)
• Experience working with APIs and databases
• Understanding of modern frontend architecture, performance optimization, and state management
• German language proficiency at B1 level or higher
• English level Upper-Intermediate or higher
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
   

Nice to have

• Experience working with different CMS platforms
• Experience in large-scale or high-traffic web products
• Understanding of project management processes in IT
• Experience participating in product or technical discovery
