Senior Java/Javascript developer to $5500

What you’ll do

• Build high-quality, testable software that meets engineering standards for reliability, performance, and maintainability
• Participate in the full SDLC: code reviews, unit testing, documentation, and deployment processes
• Collaborate within the team and across teams to achieve sprint goals; contribute to solution design and problem solving
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing systems to enhance performance and stability
• Contribute to architecture and system design decisions
• Identify and help address technical debt in a way that supports efficient delivery and service stability
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint review/demo, engineering check-ins, etc.)
• Use AI tooling (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to support development, review, and documentation
• Take ownership of personal productivity and continuously improve team collaboration

What we’re looking for

• 4+ years of experience in web software development
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a learning mindset
• Experience with Server Side Rendering concepts (e.g., Handlebars, Freemarker)
• Deep expertise in responsive HTML/CSS
• Understanding of SEO and Accessibility best practices
• Experience with KnockoutJS and React
• Strong Java skills (Java 11+, OOP)
• Experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot 3, MVC/MVVM patterns
• Experience with message brokers (Kafka, SNS/SQS)
• Solid understanding of microservices concepts
• SQL experience (PostgreSQL and/or MS SQL)
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/GitHub)
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive improvements
• English Upper-Intermediate (B2+) and fluent Ukrainian

Nice to have

• Experience with Java-based CMS platforms
