Senior DevOps Engineer / Cloud Architect

🚀AIMPROSOFT — Senior DevOps Engineer / Cloud Architect Opportunity! 

Aimprosoft, a fast-growing IT company, is looking for a Cloud Engineer (Senior DevOps Engineer) / Cloud Architect with deep expertise in AWS  on a contract basis (≈1 year+ ) to join a long-term international project in the Retail & E-Commerce domain.  

This is a lead-level architectural role where you will define and evolve cloud architecture for a large-scale platform used within smart home ecosystems and enterprise digital environments.

The position combines Cloud Architecture, DevOps Leadership, and Solution Architecture responsibilities with strong collaboration across backend, IoT, and product teams.

🎯About the project & role: 

You will own and evolve the cloud and system architecture for the platform, ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and innovation across existing and future smart home products.

Your mission is to design a future-proof cloud foundation that supports:

• high-availability distributed systems
• IoT integrations and data pipelines
• containerized microservices platforms
• observability and automated delivery workflows

• multi-environment and potentially multi-cloud deployments

   

You will act as a technical sparring partner for backend and platform teams, shaping architectural decisions and translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.

🔥What We Need From You: 

• 7+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture, DevOps Architecture, or Platform Engineering. 
• Proven experience architecting high-load, multi-tenant cloud systems on AWS. 
• Solid understanding of IAM Policies in AWS (especially resource-based and identity-based policies).
• Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose and Amazon Athena.
• Practical knowledge of AWS IoT Core: Things, Rules Engine, IoT Rule Actions.
• Good understanding of MQTT protocol.
• Deep understanding of microservices, distributed systems, cloud networking, and resiliency patterns. 
• Expert-level knowledge of Terraform and automated infrastructure. 
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and production-grade orchestration. 
• Solid background in observability, metrics pipelines, and monitoring frameworks. 
• Understanding of DR/HA patterns, SLO/SLA/SLA definitions, and cloud security best practices. 
• Experience mentoring engineering teams and leading major architectural initiatives. 
• Experience in retail, e-commerce, or large-scale consumer platforms. 
• Ability to write clean, structured, reusable logic in templates and scripts. 
• Strong analytical mindset-ability to translate business needs into data-driven campaigns. 
• English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher for communication with international teams. 

📌Nice to have: 

• Experience with streaming processing frameworks (Kafka Streams, Flink, Spark).
• Experience with Amazon ElastiCache (Redis or Valkey)
• Experience in ad-tech, content delivery platforms, or online marketing systems. 
• Knowledge of Node.js/TypeScript/NestJS for deeper collaboration with backend teams. 
• Production experience with Kafka, including cluster design & real-world event-driven systems. 
• Experience with DDD, event sourcing, CQRS. 
• Multi-region, multi-cloud architecture design. 
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
