Job Description
The ideal candidate will have:
10+ years of total development experience.
5+ years of development experience with the .NET platform.
1+ years of structured JavaScript development experience.
Experience with .NET, Microservices, Cloud services, Domain Driven Development, SPA.
Strong knowledge of software development best practices and techniques (Design Patterns, Code Review, Code Refactoring, etc.).
Problem-solving attitude.
Azure expertise.
Excellent debugging, coding and design skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to come up-to-speed quickly on a new technical domain/product area.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Upper-Intermediate spoken and written English.
Job Responsibilities
Development of complex cloud applications.
Drive architectural service executions such as Discovery and Assessment.
Understanding of business and technical requirements for the project.
Facilitate all stakeholders cooperation to define and prioritize architectural drivers for the solution.
Define architecture strategies, standards, processes, technologies, and tools in architecture visions.
Drive or assist in solution implementation estimation and roadmap construction.
Consult development teams on adherence to standards in solution design, development, and testing.
Providing technical leadership and support to software development teams.
Maintain high standards of software quality.
Participating in the code review process.
Analysis and resolving technical and application problems.
Leverage technologies to support business needs to attain high reusability and maintainability of current and newly developed systems.
Provide system design recommendations based on technical requirements.
Drive and participate in functional design.
Engineering excellence.
Become a subject-matter expert on a broad area of the product.
Department/Project Description
The client is a global technology-enabled services company dedicated to advancing the world of veterinary medicine and empowering veterinary practices. They are bringing together products, services, and technology into a single platform that connects the customers to the solutions and insights they need to work best. There are a set of long-standing veterinary software systems, with more than 20,000 veterinary practices in the U.S., Canada, UK/Europe, and Australia.
The project is a Next-generation Cloud platform that emerges from all existing software systems to provide a truly global open platform.
- Technical Solution
GL team works on the migration of the existing legacy system approaching rebuild strategy and develops a completely new solution for practice management and operations including microservices, Front-end and integration layers.
- Architecture
Event-driven approaching Microservices implementation.
- Technical Challenges
Integration with existing customer’s systems and services.
Strangling of the existing legacy system which is a subject of migration.
Large scale project with several development teams across several geographies.
The process is SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) with good support of internal tools and well-established Scrum events. A lot of verbal and written communication with US team members.
